What’s a good free alternative to Flo?

A good free alternative to Flo keeps free what Flo puts behind Premium: cycle patterns, help with PCOS and a doctor’s report. Seventh does that with no subscription, no ads and no account, and shows your next period as a range of dates. It’s for iPhone and iPad, coming to the App Store soon.

What Flo keeps for Premium

Flo’s help centre lists what Premium adds: cycle patterns, video courses and expert content, unlimited use of its AI health assistant, a Symptom Checker for PCOS and endometriosis, and a doctor’s report covering the last six months on iPhone. In the free version, Flo says Premium features are “blocked by paywalls”, and you may see offers for Premium in pop-ups and notifications.

What to look for instead

  • Free insights. Your typical cycle and period length, how regular you are, and which symptoms come in which phase.
  • Help with irregular cycles and PCOS. Predictions that account for cycles that move, without a paid tier.
  • A doctor summary. A one-page record of your cycles and symptoms to take to an appointment.
  • No account, no ads. Fewer places for your data to go.
  • Your data, any time. An export you can make yourself.

How Seventh does it

Seventh’s insights, PMS days, doctor summary and pregnancy mode are free. Tell it your cycles are irregular or that you have PCOS and the predicted window widens to match. It logs flow, mood, energy, 15 symptoms, temperature, tests and more, with reminders you choose. Your logs stay on your phone unless you sign in for a backup, and you can export everything as a file from settings.

What you’d give up

Seventh isn’t on Android or Apple Watch, is in English only, and logs fewer symptom types than Flo’s 80-plus. It has no community or AI assistant inside the app. If those matter most to you, Flo’s free version may suit you better.

Before you switch

Ask Flo for a copy of your data first: in Flo, go to your profile, then Help, then Contact us, and request a JSON export. Flo emails it, sometimes after a few days. Save it to Files, then choose it in Seventh under Settings, Bring your history, and your past periods come across. Step by step: how to move from Flo to Seventh. Keep the file either way.

How Seventh handles your data

Seventh never sells your data, shows no ads, and has no third-party trackers or advertising SDKs. It works without an account; if you sign in, your cycle is backed up to our servers so it can be restored. Seventh counts app usage itself, without any health values. Every detail is in Seventh’s privacy policy.
