Choosing an app
Is there a period tracker that’s free without a subscription?

Yes. Seventh is free with no subscription and no ads: predictions, logging, reminders, insights, pregnancy mode and a doctor summary all cost nothing. Many popular trackers, including Flo and Clue, are free to download with a paid tier on top. Check what sits behind the paywall before you start logging, because moving later takes effort.
What’s usually behind a paywall
Looking at Flo Premium and Clue Plus on 28 October 2026, these were in the paid tier of at least one of them:
- cycle patterns and extra charts
- predictions further ahead
- a PCOS and endometriosis symptom checker
- a doctor’s report
- conceive, pregnancy or perimenopause modes
- wearable sync
- full access to articles and videos
On the US App Store, Clue Plus is $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Flo’s in-app purchases ranged from $1.99 to $59.99.
How to check an app before you commit
- Open the App Store listing and look for “In-App Purchases”.
- Read the app’s own page on what its free version includes.
- Check whether the doctor summary and export are free. You’ll want both later.
- Look for ads, and at the privacy label.
What’s free in Seventh
Everything you need to track your cycle: predictions shown as a range, flow, mood, energy and 15 symptoms, temperature and tests, reminders, insights and your own PMS days, pregnancy mode, the library, support lines, a gynaecologist finder, the doctor summary and export. No account, no ads.
The only paid item planned is an optional extra for someone you share your cycle with. Nothing you need for tracking will ever sit behind it.
How Seventh handles your data
Seventh never sells your data, shows no ads, and has no third-party trackers or advertising SDKs. It works without an account; if you sign in, your cycle is backed up to our servers so it can be restored. Seventh counts app usage itself, without any health values. Every detail is in Seventh’s privacy policy.
